I’ve been waiting for 2 years nowfor this this adventure and it finally appears to be taking flight. I leave for South East Asia on January 23 with my friend Lindsay. Here’s how it all started …
Why Asia? Lots of people ask me that! I spent 5 months backpacking in Australia after I finished university. People thought I was crazy for doing it on my own, but it was one of the greatest things I’ve ever done. Met some fabulous people, saw some simply amazing sites and ingested the ever-contagious travel bug. My travel agent insisted booking a stopover in Malaysia on my way home. I thought she was insane …why would I ever want to go there? But after 5 months of unforgettable memories, I had no money and needed to move on … the answer was Asia! People had talked about how fabulous it was there – they weren’t kidding! I absolutely fell in love! The day I left, I promised myself I’d be back, but this time to see more than just KL.
So here I am, 2 years later … I’m taking a leave of absence from my job and saying goodbye to friends and family to go explore another part of the world. Also, I’m very excited to be sharing this experience with Lindsay.
